Hawaii!

Tyler & I were so blessed to join my parents on a vacation to Hawaii!

Day 1- We left for Maui on Sunday. We arrived in Hawaii at 4pm Hawaii time. It took all day, an hour to the airport, two waiting, five hour plane ride, an hour to our hotel, its a three hour difference so it is hard to adjust. My parents own a time share so that is where we all stayed. It is beautiful, has a full kitchen, master bedroom & bath and a guest bed room and bathroom.  We went to this little BBQ place by our hotel & then went to the store. We were exhausted so we didn't do much after that. Tyler & I slept on the pull out couch & it was horrible, it had a huge bump at the top. We slept on the couch from then on.

Day 2- I was amazed I woke up early. We went to sleep at 12 Hawaii time so it was 3AM California, but I we were up at 7 Hawaii time. We got ready, I curled my hair, bad idea. Tropical storm Flossie was heading to Maui, it was humid & it would rain all day, within a few minutes my hair was flat again. We were playing tag with the rain all day. We went off to the Maui Ocean Aquarium. Tyler & I LOVE aquariums. We went & saw a lot of fish, sea turtles, sting rays and sharks. We were able to see the shark feeding, it was pretty awesome. After that we headed to Lahaina, it has a lot of stores and food. We ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp. I knew Tyler would like that place, he has never eaten their before. He loves Forrest Gump the movie so it was a perfect fit. He had a sea food feast & I ate fish & chips. After that we went shopping at Hilo Hattie and found a lot of cute things. We also went to the ABC store, which I love, we bought a lot of things like towels, hats, a dress and some shirts. We went walking around it was so humid, we couldn't take it. We went & got some shaved ice. We were hanging around & it started pouring. We left quickly & headed back to the hotel. Unfortunately we had to stay inside, the storm was bad. Lots of high winds rain, thunder & lightning. My dad & Tyler sat in the living room & watched it, mom Grandma & I were in the room scared. It was the loudest thunder I have heard, my mom said it was even worse than the ones in Ecuador.

Day 3- We stayed inside most of the day today, calming down from the storm. My mom & dad had to go to a presentation mid day so Tyler & I went to the beach. We rented a kayak and swam for about two hours. We came back & headed to lunch around two. We went to Hard Rock Cafe, Tyler again has never been their before. After that we explored a little more but it was still almost at 100% humidity because of the storm. We headed home & pretty much stayed their all night. At around sunset we went & cooked some short ribs on the grill. They were amazing, & we got to see the sun set as we BBQ.

Day 4- Today Tyler & I went jet skiing. He loved it, said it was so much different than on a lake. Before we left Tyler came out in regular clothes & I asked him where his bathing suit is. He told me "You don't get wet jet skiing". Boy was he wrong. Luckily he changed, & we had a lot of fun. After we were done we all went to eat at the Hyatt. We took a nap after planning to go the beach but we slept to long & it was time to go to the luau. It was amazing, we went to the same one last time we went but it was way better. The food was great, the dancing was great & their was fire dancing as well. They asked who wanted to learn how to hula & Tyler jumped up on stage, it was great watching him dance up their.

Day 5- We headed out late today, we went to several different malls. Walked around & ate. We got Ben & Jerry's and headed off. We went to the IAO needle, mom loves that place. We also went to the pineapple plantation & took the little train around. We headed back to the hotel & Tyler & I went swimming again.

Day 6- It was a very long day today. We woke up at 5:30, had breakfast & left at six to go to the airpot. We got on the plane at about eight & headed to Oahu. It is such a short flight, we take off, they offer us a juice cup then we land. Tyler & I fell asleep in that 30 minutes. When we got their we headed on a bus & went to the Arizona. We got to walk around, eat then we went to go see the movie. After that we went on a boat to go to the memorial. After we got back we went & ate at a little hot dog place that was delicious. Then we went back on the bus & headed to the USS Midway. We took a tour of it, walked around it & then went back on the bus. After we headed to Waikiki, it was crowed, Oahu is so different than Maui. Their are people everywhere the beach is packed. Back in our hotel we have the entire beach almost to ourselves. Their is maybe 10 people on the beach, but in Waikiki I felt like I was back in California. We walked around & Tyler got his walking cane, I got a delicious pineapple smoothie. We went & ate at the Cheese Cake Factory. After that we got on the bus & went back to the airport. Our plane was suppose to leave at eight but they switched our gate & they were half an hour late. We were not happy, it was another hour drive after the flight & didn't get home until about eleven. We were exhausted, but had a great time.

Day 7- We went sport fishing today. We had the whole boat to ourselves. It was a two hour trip, mom & dad loved it they went to the top of the boat & sat the entire time. We sat in the back looking at the rods. I fell asleep for about 40 minutes it was nice. I woke up to the sound of the rod moving. We saw a blue Marlin jump in the air, but he didn't hit the line hard enough so we lost him. We didn't catch anything, & we were pretty sad. We went & picked up Grandma from the hotel & went to Cheese Burgers in Paradise. It was super good I recommend going their. We went back to the hotel & Tyler & I rented some snorkel gear & went swimming. He loved it, last time we went snorkeling was on our honeymoon & he practically drowned, so he was afraid, but he was fine this time & we saw the most amazing coral reefs & fishes. We headed back to the hotel & enjoyed our last night in Hawaii.

Day 8- Nothing to exciting, we had breakfast, enjoyed the view then headed to the airport, returned the car & went to check in. Luckily because we checked in online we got to skip a HUGE line that would have taken an hour. Our bag was to heavy so we had to stuff things into my Grandma's bag. We went through security & had about an hour left. We went & ate at the airport then headed to our gate. We rented a portable movie player because we have seen all of our movies we have 100 times. It was an enjoyable plane ride & we got teriyaki chicken for dinner. For airplane food, it was not bad. We got back at 10 California time then drove home. We had such a great time & feel so blessed to be able to take such a great vacation.

Home Sweet Home.

Tyler and I moved in on the 23rd of October to an apartment at Stonebrook in Rexburg Idaho. We will be living in the one bedroom apartment until the of December. I love it so much. It has a huge kitchen a nice living room, bathroom, washer dryer, and a bedroom. Here are some picture of our finally clean house.

Its a boy!

I am so bad at posting, just so much has happened this month, we found out that we are having a boy! We are so excited, of course nothing is ever sure, but they didn't really question it, the ultrasound tech said she would be surprised if it was not a boy. Of course my parents are still spectacle & think it could still be a girl. I am nineteen weeks right now. We found out at 15 weeks, it was still early but after a little motivation we got him to move. I called my mom when we found out & five hours later she calls me telling me she went crazy & bought him lots of clothes. Thanks Lexi Rollender for our pictures!

Baby Peanut!

We have a bun in the oven! We are so excited to meet our little one in December. We wanted to wait a at least a year before starting a family but we felt differently a few months ago. We found out during Spring Break. We were in California & I started not feeling well that Monday & I was suppose to start my period. When I packed I brought a box of tampons & a pregnancy test just in case. I took the test but it was invalid  It didn't give us a positive or negative. I figured it was to early & their was no way I was pregnant, we just started trying & many of my friends have been trying for six months with no luck, (Yes I know it only takes one time, but I figured it couldn't happen to us) so I figured I wasn't feeling well because of the trip. On Wednesday we went to Disneyland & I felt so nauseous we had to leave early because I felt so bad. I had a feeling so we stopped at the store to buy another test. I took it & their was barley a line so it was still questionable. We went back to the store got another cheap test & one that was idiot proof. I had Tyler take a test just in case. I took the other test & we had to wait, I couldn't take my eyes off of it. Then it blinked pregnant & I was so excited I screamed & started to cry.

My mom & Grandma came in thinking I was hurt but as soon as they walked in they knew why. They hugged us & started crying too. I love them so much, I am so glad my entire family was their with me at that moment. My dad knew before he came in. After all that excitement we sat down & it started to sink in. We had agreed not to tell anyone except our parents but that escalated quickly. I couldn't hold it in, I texted our family & a lot of friends. Tyler is better at keeping things to himself than I am. We have a joke that the first test didn't work because that day Ronnie & Chelsey got engaged, so we didn't want to steal their thunder. We left the next day to Arizona where we told the rest of Tyler's family.

I have had two ultra sounds & have heard the heart beat twice! It is so little, we call it peanut until we find out the gender although I do say he & she a lot. We decided to keep it off of Facebook until I am in my second trimester because first time pregnancy's have a slight higher chance of miscarrying  We went to the doctor on Tuesday & the baby is health & happy, we saw it move, it was just moving all over the place & we heard the heart beat! It is is active! It is amazing to know a little baby is growing inside of me.

 Week 7 Ultrasound

Week 11 ultrasound

I have been blessed not to have a bad pregnancy  I am just so tired all the time. I don't want to move, so mixed with senioritis, this semester has been a struggle. I feel nauseous at time but haven't thrown up. Also I have very bad pregnancy brain. I am starting to show so I am excited. I am moving into my second trimester so I am starting to feel better. We are nervous to become parents but we are ready (as ready as anyone can be) to start this new chapter & are thankful for all the love & support we have had.

Six Wonderful Months.

Well not everyday is always wonderful but today Tyler & I have been married for six months. I can't believe how fast it has gone. We have had our ups and downs, they say the first year is the hardest, but it hasn't been that bad, so if this is the worst, I can't wait for the many more years I have with my wonderful man. Tyler is so sweet to me everyday and does his best to make me happy. He brings me home sweet surprises and is always their cheering for me in whatever I do.
In our wonderful six months we have:

Gotten married

Went to Mexico

Went to Arizona for Thanksgiving

Went to California for Christmas

Adopted a puppy

Learned how to fish

Went to Vegas

Tyler & I first met our first semester at BYUI. We were in the same ward. We were best friends and always wrote to each other when he was on his mission in San Diego. I told him I would not wait for him because he needed to focus on the Lord and not on me. He didn't like that but accepted it. He came home and the next day sends me a message on Facebook. We talked & the next day started dating. We knew we wanted to end up together, we had a lot of obstacles to overcome and we knew it was going to be a long hard journey, but it would be worth it. He came down before Thanksgiving to be with me in Idaho. We went home for Thanksgiving and Christmas and that was hard on us. He came down to visit me in California before I went back to Idaho in January. The day after he came we went to Disneyland were he proposed. I knew it was coming so I wasn't all that surprised but it didn't really hit me until we were watching the fireworks. I broke down and cried realizing I was going to be with this man forever and how long I have waited for this. It was so real now, not just talk. We went back to Idaho but I returned to California shorty after. I finished up my Spring semester at BYUI and went back home but Tyler stayed in Idaho. It was a long three months but I met up with him in Arizona two weeks before the wedding. We spent some time with his family and went back to California where we got married. We had a nine month engagement and it felt like forever at the time but looking back it went by so quickly. Now I have been married to the love of my life for six wonderful months and I can't wait to see what our future has in store.
